Outputs in watts per metre of finned element are based on LTHW 80 °C M.W.T, 20 °C E.A.T and 1 metre/second water velocity. The above WIDTH and HEIGHT dimensions are a guide and can be altered to suit individual requirements. For higher heat outputs, multiple finned elements can be used in a deeper trench heater body, Please contact TRENCH HEATING LTD for advice.

Heating elements

Heating elements comprise of seamless copper tube to BS 2871 mechanically expanded into 0.5 mm aluminium fins.

The copper tube outside diameter is 22 mm after expansion.

The aluminium fins are available in various configurations to offer a range of heat outputs and trench sizes. (see heat output chart)

Finned elements are manufactured to customized lengths and tested to 10 bar in our factory.
